Seven years ago, Tammy Gonzalez named her daughter Leyna, which means “little angel” and the name couldn’t be more fitting.
While Tammy was 17 weeks pregnant, she was having a routine ultrasound to make sure her unborn baby was developing properly.
At first glance, she seemed normal and even looked to be blowing a bubble.
Unfortunately, things were not as they seemed.
The “bubble” Tammy’s baby was “blowing” was actually teratoma, a rare and potentially fatal oral tumor which develops once in every 100,000 pregnancies.
Doctors advised Tammy to abort the baby but she refused.
